Education about acupuncture in Guatemala is carried out by the coordinating committee of GUAMAP. For example two presentations were formally submitted and accepted by the American Public Health Association; one in 2004 and another in 2006. Training
Monitorings verify, correct, and reinforce certified competencies. GUAMAP offers training basic levels I,II, and the advanced level III. Basic training includes the use of the NADA protocol for trauma. Additional specialty classes are offered as needed: emergency acupuncture, and women's conditions. [/i] [/left
